What a Rust case battle is

Two to four players open the same cases at the same time. Whoever unboxes the highest total value wins everything that dropped.

How a battle works

1

Build it

Choose a format and one or more cases. Add as many as you like.

2

Pay your seat

A seat costs the total price of the cases picked. Nothing is added.

3

Seats fill

Other players join, or you fill the empty seats with bots.

4

Cases open

Round by round, every seat opens the same case side by side.

5

Highest total wins

The value of every drop in the battle is paid to the winner in coins.

The four formats

1v12 players, winner takes both sets
1v1v13 players, one winner
1v1v1v14 players, one winner
2v2team totals count, the winning pair splits

Rules worth knowing

A tie is split

Equal totals share the whole prize between the tied players.

Win limit of 5x

If all drops together are worth 5 times what every seat paid, the result is rolled again.

Private and bots

Private keeps bots from joining by themselves. Add Bots fills empty seats now.

Ways to play it

Slow swings

Cheap cases, many rounds

More rounds give you more chances to catch up after a bad one.

Big swings

One expensive case

A single spin decides it. Fast, and the whole seat rides on one drop.

Avoid

More seats to win more

A 4 player pot is bigger, and three opponents can outroll you, not one.

Questions players ask

How is a tied 2v2 settled?

If both teams unbox the same total, all four players share the prize equally.

Can a bot win the battle?

Yes. A bot seat opens the same cases and is scored like any other seat, so the highest total wins even when it is the bot's.

Can one battle use different cases?

Yes. Every round can be a different case, and all seats open that round's case together.
